IICLE® Estate Planning Rising Star Award

The IICLE® Estate Planning Rising Star Award honors talented up-and-coming Illinois attorneys in the field of estate planning whose dedication, innovation, and passion for estate planning set them apart as emerging leaders in the estate planning practice.

This award will be presented annually to an Illinois attorney with less than 10 years of experience who demonstrates an exceptional proficiency in essential estate planning knowledge and skills, displays an aptitude for building trusted relationships with clients and applies a forward-thinking approach to estate planning practice, characterized by the integration of cutting-edge strategies and technologies to address the evolving needs of clients in an ever-changing estate planning landscape.

Criteria for Consideration for the IICLE® Estate Planning Rising Star Award:

    • Must be an attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois and in good standing.
    • Must have no more than 10 years of total practice experience.
    • At the time of nomination, the candidate must dedicate a significant portion of their practice to estate planning.
    • Must show commitment to the estate planning profession's advancement through leadership roles, community involvement and participation in educational initiatives.
    • Must meet the qualifications described in the award description above.

    IICLE® Outstanding Achievement in Estate Planning Award: Honoring Excellence in Estate Planning

    The IICLE® Outstanding Achievement in Estate Planning Award: Honoring Excellence in Estate Planning celebrates and acknowledges the exceptional contributions and distinguished accomplishments of Illinois attorneys who exemplify professionalism, innovation, and dedication in the field of estate planning and serves as a symbol of the profound impact the recipient has had on safeguarding and preserving the legacies of individuals, families, and communities.

    This award will be presented annually to an Illinois attorney who has exhibited unparalleled expertise in navigating the complexities of estate law, taxation, wealth preservation, and asset distribution and whose proficiency in crafting comprehensive estate plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of their clients sets the attorney apart as a leader in the profession. In addition to these individual achievements, the recipient of this award may have made significant contributions to the advancement of the estate planning field in Illinois and beyond and may have authored influential publications, conducted seminars and workshops, or participated in legislative advocacy efforts aimed at enhancing the practice and understanding of estate planning.

    Criteria for Consideration for the IICLE® Outstanding Achievement in Estate Planning Award:

    • Must be an attorney licensed to practice law in Illinois, in good standing, in either active or retired status.
    • Must have at least 25 years of total practice experience.
    • Must be an active practicing or retired estate planning attorney licensed in Illinois.
    • At the time of nomination, the candidate must dedicate a significant portion of their practice to estate planning.
    • Must have a history of contributions to IICLE® via speaking, writing, board service, participation in IICLE programs, and/or other supportive efforts.
    • Must show commitment to the estate planning profession's advancement through leadership roles, community involvement and participation in educational initiatives.
    • Prior awards, honors, and other earned recognition by other estate planning industry, education, or legal groups.
    • Must meet the qualifications described in the award description above.
